Problem-Solving in Filtration

Most systems and types of equipment experience problems from time to time, the causes of which are not always immediately apparent to the user.

Some of these problems are:

• Equipment failure (pumps, valves, other critical components)
• Product contamination ( process batches rendered unfit for sale)
• Environmental contamination (effluent and fume disposal)
• Current filters experiencing short life, are too fine or too coarse.

Some causes are:

• System contamination self generated by normal wear and tear
• Ingress of contamination (both liquid and airborne)
• Processes and equipment which generate undesirable contaminants
• Changes in operating parameters (current filters inadequate for duty)
