It is now estimated that there are over 1500 makes of filter worldwide, not forgetting those items fitted to original equipment under their own brand name.

Filtermax UK Ltd has one of the most extensive databases, specialising in cross-referring and sourcing many of these from the following criteria:

1. Filter Manufacturer...
2. Filter part number...

Normally these first two are sufficient. Failing this please follow other criteria below:

1. What equipment is the filter fitted to...i.e. Engine type & model number, or make of machinery etc.
2. Filter description...i.e. Cartridge, Element, Panel, Bag, Pad, Roll etc.... Material of construction & description of form/shape.
3. Size...i.e. Dimensions, Drawing or Sketch
4. Duty...i.e. Liquid (if so what liquid) Gas (if so what gas) Air (atmospheric or compressed) operating conditions etc.
